Spring 2025 Has Arrived!
IT'S TIIMMMMMEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spring is officially here and it is time to start planning and planting those gardens! My goal for this week is to finish prepping my raised beds and plant my first crop of peas. My family looooves fresh peas, especially my mother, so I'm planting a couple varieties this year; Sugar Lace II, Stringless Sugar Spring, and Early Freezer. I'll also plant some yellow and red onion sets in a different bed since onions stunt the grown of pea plants. Along with my peas and onions, I'll be planting other cool-weather friendly crops such as kale, spinach, cabbage, and radishes. I am especially excited to plant my kale and spinach because I have a great recipe to share with you! The other week I was craving some Italian comfort food that wasn't pasta and quickly threw together this creamy Italian sausage and white bean skillet and served it with some parmesan cheese and a nice slice of warm, crusty, Italian bread fresh from the oven. Safe to say it was like eating a warm hug and tasted "phenomenal" according to the taste testers. This is a simple recipe so it is great meal to have on a busy weeknight. Mangia Mangia!
As always, ENJOY, and Happy Spring!!!
Love,
Alexis
